Job description The CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center (CHUSJRC) and the Department of Psychiatry and Addictology of the Université de Montréal (UdeM) invite applications for a research assistant professor position in neuroimaging of the developing brain for the study of neurodevelopmental, mental health and substances use disorders in children, adolescents and /or emerging adults. Early career candidates are sought; exceptional mid-career candidates will also be considered. Candidates with strong methodological expertise in MRI and multimodal neuroimaging will be prioritized.
CHUSJ is a reference center for the investigation and management of children and teenagers wth disorders of neurodevelopment and mental health. The new principal investigator will play a pivotal role in complementing the research strengths of the CHUSJRC in these areas. Our « Brain and Child Development » research axis brings together a critical mass of scientists with cutting-edge expertises in genomics, in vivo electrophysiology, cognitive neurosciences, neuropsychology, developmental psychology, artificial intelligence and brain imaging. The successful candidate will have access to a new 3T MRI facility dedicated to research and to large multidimensional datasets generated from various normative and clinical cohorts. The candidate will have the opportunity to establish collaborations not only with CRCHUSJ scientists but also with other research groups within the network of Université de Montréal, the vibrant Montreal neurosciences community, which is one of the largest in North America, and an active network of Canadian pediatric research enters.
